Luiz Azeredo (born June 10, 1976) is a Brazilian Welterweight mixed martial artist, fighting out of the Chute Boxe Academy, Curitiba, Brazil. He has fought in the PRIDE and Cage Rage.
Azeredo is notable for being one of only four men to ever defeat Anderson Silva, which he did by unanimous decision. He also holds a notable win over top welterweight Paul Daley. He also holds wins over Pride veterans Luiz Firmino, and Cristiano Marcello. also wins over Ultimate Fighting Championship veterans Fabricio Camoes, and Rodrigo Ruas. [1]

On November 22, 2008 he participated in Shoot Boxing World Tournament 2008, where he reached the semi finals and was defeated by defending champion Kenichi Ogata.
Azeredo made his Bellator debut at Bellator 33 winning against formerly undefeated, Edward Guedes. He won the fight after dominating all three rounds, as he got the unanimous decision win.[2] It is being rumored that, with the win, Azeredo has been offered a spot in the Season 4 lightweight tournament.
